Dear PCR Working Group Member,
We are delighted to invite you to the next PCR Working Group meeting which will take place on Tuesday, March 17th at 2 pm at the Total Petrochemicals Office in Beijing.
At this meeting we will hold the 2009 PCR Working Group Elections. As you may know, the PCR Working Group Chair and Vice Chairs play a crucial role in driving the Working Group which includes the drafting of the Position Paper, communicating key messages to the Chinese and European Government, and steering the Working Group meetings. The desired characteristics of a Chair and Vice Chair are a senior industry representative with relevant industry expertise and government contacts that has the time and willingness to support the group. Previous participation in the Working Group is also highly valued. These honorary positions represent a tremendous opportunity represent the PCR Working Group at very senior levels. Attached is a PDF file explaining the role of the Chair and Vice Chair .
Anyone who is possibly interested in running for the position of Chair or Vice Chair is therefore kindly requested to inform the Chamber, tbrooks@euccc.com.cn , by 13th March.
This meeting will also include a presentation entitled "An overview of the National People’s Congress and implications for the Petrochemical Industry in China. " by John Russell of Weber Shandwick.

1. Election for Chair and Vice Chairs.
2. Presentation by Weber Shandwick providing "An overview of the National People’s Congress and implications for the Petrochemical Industry in China."
3. NDRC Forum update: dates, agenda and Chinese side participants.
4. Key Recommendations for 2009/2010 Position Paper (PP). Deadlines for submission of the PP. Discussion of overall theme and tone of the PP.
5. Update on current situation with cooperation with Ma Jun and the Institute of Public and Environmental Affairs (IPEA).
6. Update on Working Group lobbying, contact with CRC, NDRC, MIIT and MEP.
7. Media Briefing and spokesperson.
