The Ministry of Commerce published the Rules on Counteracting Unjustified Extra-Territorial Application of Foreign Legislation and Other Measures last Saturday (click here for the full text in English). They apply to situations where the extraterritorial application of foreign legislation ‘unjustifiably’ prohibits Chinese organizations from engaging in normal economic, trade and related activities with a third nation or region. Given this, the European Chamber cordially invite you to the next meeting, Insight Sharing: China's 'Blocking Law' and Its Application--Rules on Counteracting Unjustified Extra-Territorial Application of Foreign Legislation and Other Measures.
During the meeting, Mr Qing REN, Partner of Global Law Office, will share his insights on the following topics:
1. What Circumstances Does the Chinese Version of 'Blocking Law' (Not) Apply To
2. Corporate Reporting Obligations
3. 'Not Accepted, Executed, Or Observed' Prohibition Orders and Exemptions
4. Judicial Remedies That Enterprises Can Seek (Right to Claim Compensation)
5. Corporate Compliance Takeaways
