Advisory Council Policy
Members of the Advisory Council may receive complimentary admission to Chamber seminars, conferences and factory visits up to two attendees per event. Additional participants will be charged at the member rate.
Advisory Council members will still be charged the standard member rate for participation in training courses and special events, such as gala balls, government appreciation dinners, or admission to corporate social events/tournaments.

Mr. Jason Collins
Mr. Jason Collins
Jason Collins was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the European Australian
Business Council in 2007. As CEO, Jason carries overall responsibility for the delivery
of the Council’s core programmes, membership and relations with Australian and
European government agencies, chambers of commerce, industry groups, and other
public and private sector organisations.
He is also the elected Chair of the European Business Organisation Worldwide Network, a
peak association headquartered in Brussels of European business organisations,
chambers of commerce, and other organisations across Africa, the Americas, Asia,
Europe and Oceania.
He serves on the advisory boards of a number of Australian and Europe based
research centres, industry bodies and is a regular speaker at international
conferences and commentator on trade and related topics in the media.
His previous experience includes working as an advisor Chief of Staff in the NSW
Parliament and Executive Director of the NSW Millennium Forum. He is also the
Managing Director of Matrix Corporate Marketing, an advisory firm assisting
companies on international business strategy, regulatory issues and stakeholder
management.
He is a founding director of the Australia Youth Trust, a former Chairman of the
Australasian Sponsorship Marketing Association, and former Board Member of the
Australia Asia Young Leaders Program.
Mr. Carlo Diego D’Andrea
Mr. Carlo Diego D’Andrea
Founder and Managing Partner of D’Andrea & Partners Legal Counsel, and Founder of DP Group.
Graduated in Law at the University of Teramo (Italy), he then subsequently obtained a Masters’ degree in Corporate Advisor at LUISS University in Rome and a Diploma in Chinese Studies at Nanjing Normal University and is a member of the Italian Bar Association.
Mr. D’Andrea arrived in China in 2005 and is fluent in Italian (mother tongue), English, Mandarin Chinese and Spanish. He mainly deals with cross-border mergers and acquisitions, assistance in ODI/FDI and intellectual property rights.
He is also acting as Vice President of the European Chamber and Chair of the Shanghai Chapter.
Mr. Michael Mroczek
Mr. Michael Mroczek
Michael Mroczek is a Swiss licensed attorney. He holds a Master of Laws degree from the Basel University (Switzerland) and an LL.M. in US Law from Beasley School of Law at Temple University (Philadelphia, USA). He is admitted as a foreign attorney (gaikokuho-jimu-bengoshi) in Japan and registered as EU-lawyer with the District Council of the Bar in Warsaw (Poland). Michael is a partner at Okuno & Partners – Attorneys at Law (Tokyo, Japan). His main areas of practice are international commercial arbitration, corporate law, M&A and finance. Before being elected as President of the European Business Council in Japan (EBC) in January 2019, Michael was serving as President of the Swiss Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Japan for four years. He is a lecturer at the University of Tokyo where he teaches International Arbitration. He also lectures at the Temple Law School and the University of St. Gallen. Michael was born in Warsaw and grew up in Switzerland. In addition to English and German, he speaks Polish, French, and Italian.

Sven was just recently appointed Chief Executive Officer of EUMCCI being involved in government relations, economic development, trade and investment promotion for many years.
Before joining EUMCCI, Sven played a significant role in bridging the gap between Malaysia and the European Union (EU) by promoting the state of Selangor as a key investment destination in ASEAN for 8 years. As Director of Trade & Investment and Strategic Planning as well as previously as Director of Corporate Communication and Strategic Planning at Invest Selangor Berhad, Sven has been an architect of Selangor’s ecosystem development and investment promotion strategies. Before he set sail for Malaysia, Sven started his journey by exploring his entrepreneurial spirit in Germany as consultant, market researcher and communication strategist.
With more than 12 years of experience in economic development strategies, investment and export promotion programmes for cities, states and federal government institutions, Sven enjoys facilitating and bringing together business communities from different parts of the world to share knowledge and strengthen economic ties.

Oliver graduated from Ireland as a Quantity Surveyor in 1994. He has 25 years of experience in the construction industry working in the USA, Qatar, Ireland, Vietnam & Malaysia and is the founder of Real Project Management Sdn Bhd (RPM).
He recently expanded his business by setting up a new division; RPM Schedulers Sdn Bhd which provides planning and scheduling services to the construction and Oil & Gas industries.
Oliver is also the founder of Proficient Software Solutions Sdn Bhd which is developing an AI powered Project Management Software which was launched earlier this year.
He is Chairman of the EU-Malaysia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (EUMCCI) and Board of Director for Irish Chamber of Commerce in Malaysia.

• Former President of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Singapore for five years
• Serves as independent director in private companies and institutions, including Vice President of Assocamerestero in Rome – apex body of the Italian Chambers of Commerce abroad
• Started his banking career in New York, before moving to Singapore in 2005
• A graduate in financial markets at Bocconi University and was visiting student at Stern School of Business, New York University
Mrs. Nele Cornelis
Mrs. Nele Cornelis
• After spending more than a decade living and working in Europe and the US, Nele Cornelis relocated to Singapore in 2008.
• Since September 2017 she took the role of Executive Director at the European Chamber of Commerce (Singapore) where she heads the executive team and leads the daily operations.
• Under her leadership the Chamber expended the advocacy work of the Chamber representing the voice of European companies towards stakeholders such as European and Singaporean authorities and policy makers.
• In 2019 she was elected as Governor of the Board of the European Business Organisation Worldwide Network (EBO WWN), the leading voice of European Business in third markets.
• Before Nele has been Executive Director with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (Singapore) from 2011 till 2017 where she played a key role for the joint venture with the Association of the Dutch Business People (ADB).
• Before relocating to Singapore Nele spent most of her career working for large media companies both in Europe and the US including like The Baltimore Sun (Chicago Tribune Company).
Mr. Freddie Hoeglund

Mr Freddie Hoeglund has been the CEO of the European Chamber of Commerce Taiwan (ECCT) since 2009. Having initially arrived in Taiwan in 1990 to study Chinese, he later held senior management positions, including Senior Regional Services Director and Six Sigma Black Belt in several foreign companies. Freddie served as Vice Chairman of the European Business Organisations Worldwide Network (EBO WWN) between 2011-2018. He has a background as a commissioned officer in the Royal Swedish navy after having graduated from the Swedish Naval Academy with a degree in mechanical engineering.
