We are pleased to invite you to the final Pharmaceutical Working Group meeting of the year, which will take place on Friday 16th December at 2 pm at the European Chamber's Shanghai office. We are in the process of establishing teleconferencing links with Beijing to allow members to participate from the Beijing office.
The meeting will feature briefings on the recent SIPO/SFDA study tour to European, where they met regulators, authorities and companies to gain a deeper understanding of the importance of IPR to the Pharma industry, and the first EU-China IP Working Group meeting that was dedicated to Pharma related IP issues. The meeting which was part of the larger EU-China IP Dialogue focused on data exclusivity, patent term restoration and enforcement. Other issues to be covered include import rights and future lobbying actions. The tentative agenda of the meeting is:
1. Update on EU-China IP Dialogue Working Session (18th Oct)
2. Update on China Pharmaceutical IPR Tour (22nd Oct, th Nov)
3. Discussion on import rights issue
4. Review of lobbying actions
