Associated solely with software development for a long time, Agile (Project) Management is rapidly spreading to other areas of product creation and service provision. Organizations have substantially improved their projects’ success rates and increased speed as well as team members’ motivation by introducing agile methods, thus effectively eliminating barriers for collaboration. They have become able to deal with complex environments that are especially common in the volatile Chinese market where traditional approaches frequently fail.
This workshop introduces Agile Project Management based on the Scrum framework, clearly differentiating between facts and myths and outlining how German Effectiveness and Chinese Agility actually go together quite well. Participants will learn about agile principles and the differences to traditional concepts. An ensuing case study will provide hands-on experience based on real-life project situations.
The trainer will provide experience on how to apply agile approaches to various (project) environments and thus give additional insights on how to adapt one’s leadership style to an agile setting.
The training includes:
- Introduction to agile principles & methods, their history and areas of application
- The Scrum Framework: Roles, Communication, Artefacts (group exercise)
- Agile Planning & Prioritization: Approach & Techniques
- Case Study
- Q & A Session / Group discussion
