As a follow-up to the first session of this year’s Cybersecurity Compliance Series focusing on China’s personal information protection framework and the cybersecurity review, we are pleased to invite you to the second session of this series: Personal Information Protection Compliance Obligations and Practices, which will take place on Friday 14 July, from 16h to 18h at the European Chamber Beijing and Shanghai offices, featuring He Yanzhe from the China Electronics Standardisation Institute (CESI). He is among the drafters of various Chinese personal information security standards. At this meeting, an introduction will be given to the latest version of the Personal Information Security Specification and other relevant standards in the making, followed by a roundtable discussion.

About the Cybersecurity Compliance Series
The Cybersecurity Law promulgated on 7th November, 2016 became effective on 1st June, 2017, and has significant ramifications for business operations. It is so far-reaching that almost all industries are be impacted. With the Chinese Government intensifying its efforts in developing relevant implementing rules, some cybersecurity schemes have already started to take shape. The Cybersecurity Compliance Series is a series of sessions on latest cybersecurity regulatory developments and how they may have an impact on companies.
