During this Executive Forum, Mr. Burnison, author of the bestselling book The Leadership Journey: How to Master the Four Critical Areas of Being a Great Leader, will explain how to chart a course for discovering and developing the skills needed for becoming a great leader.  He will explain what separates good leaders from great ones, and why he believes that the essence of leadership is the ability to inspire others and making people believe. Grounded in his real-world experiences and drawing on the advice of noted executives and world leaders he has met and interviewed, Burnison will also explore the four essential — and often overlooked — elements that combine to make executives the kind of leaders their organizations need.

As CEO of Korn Ferry, Mr. Burnison is leading the firm’s transformation as a diversified human capital organization. He brings hands-on experience to his current position, having served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer for Korn Ferry from 2003-2007. Mr. Burnison joined the firm in 2002 as Chief Financial Officer. Prior to Korn Ferry, he was a principal and Chief Financial Officer of Guidance Solutions, a privately held consulting firm developing and supporting technology solutions, from 1999 to 2001. Mr. Burnison’s other books include No Fear of Failure: Real Stories of How Leaders Deal with Risk and Change (2011), and The Twelve Absolutes of Leadership (2012).
