Dear Working Group Member,
The European Chamber is pleased to invite you to the next Energy Working Group Meeting regarding natural gas supply and storage in China, and its significance to China’s energy strategy and consequent environmental impact. The meeting will be held on January 7th 2016, 9am – 11am at the European Chamber Shanghai office. The meeting will begin with a coffee networking, and then two guest speakers Sophie THEYS (Bureau Veritas) and Patrick Janssens (American Bureau of Shipping) will share insights on the development of natural gas supply in China, the current challenges that the industry is facing to meet the country’s objectives, and LNG sea transportation.

speakers' bio:
Sophie Theys has 20 years’ experience in the energy industry and is currently working in Shanghai at Bureau Veritas. Having a unique mix of management, technical and field experience from some of the world’s largest projects (Yamal, Shell Prelude) and regions (Americas, China), Sophie develops customized services which takes in account the current challenges of energy demand/supply and environmental concerns.
