On 29th April, CCPIT organized an online webinar on Business Environment Improvement (Shandong Session). Multiple foreign chambers of commerce and a few foreign-invested enterprises (FIEs) attended the webinar. Although suffering from negative impact brought by COVID-19, a strong determination was shown at the meeting that China’s economy, especially Shandong’s economy, would continue to recover and boom. More supporting policies for FIEs will be carried out.
During the meeting, Vice Chairman of CCPIT, Zhang Shenfeng delivered an opening speech, followed by policy introductions made by representatives of Shandong Provincial People’s Government, Commerce Department, Development and Reform Commission, among others. Attendees came up with questions regarding Shandong’s strategic industries, consumption stimulation, as well as specific questions on automotive and hydrogen development policies. All questions were responded accordingly.

The European Chamber representatives from European Affairs and also ICT Working Group and Cyber-security Sub-working Group had an official introductory phone call with Mr. Philipp Barth, Head of DG CONNECT section at the European Delegation, for the continued lobbying cooperation between the European Chamber and the European Delegation in the fields of ICT and Cyber-security in China.
