Lobby Letter Submitted to the People's Bank of China (PBoC) on the Draft Regulation on Local Financial Supervision and Administration of Local Financial Organisations

On 21st January, the European Chamber’s Banking & Securities working group and Non-Banking Financial Institutions (NBFI) working group sent a joint letter to the People’s Bank of China (PBoC) International Cooperation Department to follow up to a meeting held between Banking & Securities working group's representatives and People’s Bank of China officials on 14th January. A lobby letter with comments on PBOC’s draft regulation on local financial supervision and administration of local financial organisations by the NBFI working group was attached to the thank you letter.

Banking and Securities WG meeting with PBoC online

On January 14th, the representatives of Banking and Securities Working Group, representatives of European Chamber had a meeting with PBoC online. The two sides had an open discussion on a series of topics, covering foreign banks' eligibility of applying green financing facility in China, parameter adjustments of macro-prudential framework, non-renew issues of QCCP status between ESMA and Shanghai Clearing House and the possibility of the official launch of Derivatives Act.

Meeting with PBOC - China Financial Standardisation Technical Committee (CFSTC)

The China Financial Standardization Technical Committee (CFSTC, SAC/TC 180) is a technical organization authorized by the Standardization Administration of the P. R. C. (SAC). CFSTC is a technical organization engaged in nationwide standardization in the financial sector and is responsible for the centralized management of standardization technology in the financial industry and for domestic work related to ISO/TC 68 and ISO/TC 222. The Standardization Administration of the P. R. C. has entrusted The People’s Bank of China to lead and manage China Financial Standardization Technical Committee. There are three sub-committees affiliated to CFSTC covering securities, insurance, and printing standardization, respectively.
