Con-call between the Banking & Securities WG and the CBIRC
On 11th June, 2020, key representatives from the Banking & Securities Working Group had a con-call with both the Law and Regulation and the International Cooperation & Foreign Institution Supervision Departments of the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission (CBIRC). Some issues of key importance to the foreign banking industry were discussed.The meeting was a follow up to the advocacy letter the Chamber sent to Vice Chairman Zhou Liang of the CBIRC on 23rd March, 2020.

On 11th June, 2020, the Working Group Coordinator for Banking & Securities, updated the EU Delegation on the previous con-call the Banking & Securities Working Group had with the CBIRC. EU Delegation representatives asked for feedback on issues they could put further pressure on the CBIRC with the aim of obtaining some deliverables during their upcoming meeting with the CBIRC.
