Working Group Meeting on China’s Product Carbon Footprint System with China National Institute of Standardization (CNIS)

On 20th December, the European Chamber Carbon Market Working Group invited Mr. Sun Liang, Associate Researcher, Resource and Environment Sub-Institute, China National Institute of Standardization (CNIS) and various industry players to give updates on China’s product carbon footprint system, and share best practices in corporate carbon footprint management.

Topics discussed included the standards framework for China's dual-carbon goals and its progress; definition and management of product carbon footprints; international recognition; as well as the industries/products that will be first covered under the national product carbon footprint standardisation system.
