President Wuttke Met with Liaoning Party Secretary and Governor

On 28th April, Jörg Wuttke, president of the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China, led a delegation of Shenyang Chapter members to visit Liaoning Provincial Party Secretary Mr Hao Peng and Governor Mr Li Lecheng, and other provincial department leaders.
The two parties exchanged views on vital topics such as European Union (EU)-China economic and trade relations, foreign investment promotion in Liaoning and Shenyang, improvement of the business environment in Liaoning and the internationalisation of Shenyang.
Party Secretary Hao fully affirmed the significant role of the European Chamber as an independent voice of European business, and in linking government and foreign companies through dialogue and collaboration. The continuous and stable investment of European Chamber member companies has been greatly stimulating for local economic development in Northeast China.
President Wuttke stated that the European Chamber would continue to work on the needs of international business and to actively help local governments improve the business environment of Liaoning. He said investor confidence relied on a more open, transparent and globalised environment, which would definitely stimulate the development of the regional economy.
