The European Chamber Tianjin Chapter Delegation Met with Tianjin Vice Mayor to Present the 2nd Edition of Local Position Paper

On 17th Feb 2023, European Chamber National President Joerg Wuttke,  Vice President Carlo D'Andrea, Tianjin Chapter Chair Christoph Schrempp, Tianjin Chapter General Manager Catherine Guo, and the member delegation of European Chamber had a VIP meeting with Tianjin Vice Mayor, Yang Bing at Shangri-La Hotel before the 2022/2023 Tianjin Government Appreciation Reception.

Tianjin Vice Mayor Yang Bing welcomed the Chamber delegation, introduced new approaches of economic development have been planed to take action for Tianjin Municipal People's Government, he on behalf of the Tianjin Government urged European businesses to keep their investment confidence and expend their operation if possible in Tianjin in the near future. The President Joerg Wuttke introduced the Chamber 2022/2023 Position Paper with key recommendations and briefed the Chamber EU tour to Brussels this January as well. Tianjin Chair briefed in details on the new Tianjin Local Position Paper on its key recommendations, and presented a hard copy of the paper to Vice Mayor Yang Bing, DDG of Tianjin Commerce Bureau He Zhineng and DDG of Tianjin Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology.

Member representatives also expressed their interests in Tianjin and thanked the Tianjin government for their support to their existing investments. 

Two sides expressed closer cooperation and more often regular exchanges in the future.
