Meeting with the Delegation of the European Union to China on Sustainability and Green Transition

On 6^th February, the European Chamber met with Laurent Bardon, the Head of the Sustainability and Green Transition section of the EU Delegation to China and discussed the recent environment and energy transition issues in the EU-China cooperation.

European Chamber introduced its achievements in the EU tour in January both in a macro and a working-level view. Themes include circular economy, plastic pollution, and high energy consumption are highlighted.

EUD shared some critical areas of future work, including plastics, batteries, the solar industry, hydrogen, and new energy vehicles. He also welcomed more dialogues with experts in those fields to understand the Chinese market better.

European Chamber will help provide a list of experts in different green development sectors to brief the EUD on current Chinese industrial policies and the market and hold a meeting in weeks.
