On 9th September, European Chamber attended the quarterly online roundtable with foreign chambers and enterprises for the third quarter of 2022, hosted by the Department of Development Research of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT).

Lexie Li, Government Relations Manager of the European Chamber, voiced two main issues facing the member companies in China  -  China's current COVID-19 containment policy and the recent power cut. For the COVID-19 policy, the European Chamber re-emphasized the recommendations on promoting the vaccination rate and introducing the best mix of vaccines and boosters. With regards to the power cut, which seems to have become a long-term and periodical issue, the European Chamber would like to engage in further dialogue with relevant authorities.

Members also attended and raised concerns at the meeting, focusing on COVID-19 policy, social security reform and government procurement.
