ECHI Meeting with the Beijing Building Energy Conservation and Engineer Association (BCEMA) on Subsidy Policies and Beijing Ecology Bureau's Policy Research Project

On 27 May, 20 representatives from the Europe China Heating Initiative (ECHI) dialogued with the Beijing Building Energy Conservation and Engineer Association (BCEMA) at a virtual meeting on subsidy policies for Beijing Green Consumption Season and Beijing Ecology Bureau's policy research project on the replacement of second-level boilers.

ECHI members raised concerns about the current subsidy policies of the Beijing Green Consumption Season. For full premixed condensing boilers, the limited scope of subsidies will affect the practical implementation of subsidies.

BCEMA introduced the Beijing Ecological Environment Bureau's policy research project to replace second-level gas boilers. BCEMA introduced this research's background, purpose, and context and welcomed the ECHI members to participate and exchange advanced European technologies and good practices. ECHI offered suggestions on full premixed condensing boilers and hydrogen energy for future energy-saving and low carbonisation planning.

After exchanging with the current policies of Beijing on green consumption and low carbonisation, ECHI and BCEMA agreed to keep in regular contact with updated policies and practices.
