European Chamber President Wuttke Met with DRC Party Secretary (Minister) Ma Jiantang

On 14th April, European Chamber President Joerg Wuttke led a delegation of Advisory Council members and met in-person with Ma Jiantang, Party Secretary of the Development Research Center of the State Council (DRC) in Beijing.

Party Secretary Ma stressed that China is steadfast in the opening-up and reform as the basic state policy and will seek development at higher level, despite the ever-changing international landscape. China attaches great importance to foreign investment and European business.

The two sides exchanged views on the COVID-19 prevention measures, supply chain challenges during the pandemic, Russia-Ukraine conflict and its impact on EU-China trade, government procurement as well as energy transition.

The two sides agreed to work together and further strengthen EU-China cooperation.
