European Chamber Delegation Met with Shandong Officials

The Commerce delegation is composed of more than 20 representatives from Working Groups and chamber Advisory Council members. Two roundtables were held with Shandong Province and Jinan City. VP Guido introduced the European Chamber and its Shandong Initiative, especially the development and exchanges in Shandong, etc., and provided conductive suggestions in the cooperation between EU and China. He said that Jinan is a very important city for the European Chamber, chamber members hope t to involve in the industrial reform and transformation process in Shandong and China, contribute to the digital and innovative transformation of industrial enterprises. The Chairs and Vice Chairs of chamber Environmental, Energy, Carbon market and Insurance working groups addressed the key issues and concerns from their member companies, company representatives also delivered speeches and interacted with participating governmental authorities. VP Guido presented the " EUROPEAN BUSINESS IN CHINA POSITION PAPER 2021/2022" to Cui Hongguang, Vice Director General of the Shandong Department of Commerce. 

During the stay in Jinan, the delegation also visited Ireata Energy Equipment Co., Ltd., a member company of the Chamber, and conducted on-site visit and discussion on business environment, development prospects, and clean energy cooperation between Shandong and Europe.
