On 30th July, Mr Chen Huarong, Deputy Director General (DDG) of the Hubei Provincial Department of Commerce, visited the European Chamber Shanghai Chapter. He shared the latest economic developments of Wuhan after the COVID-19 outbreak, and introduced the China (Hubei) Pilot Free Trade Zone that was approved by the State Council three years ago.

 

 

Mr Carlo D’Andrea, Vice President of the Chamber and the Shanghai Board Chairman, received the delegation from Hubei. He highlighted the European Chamber members' contribution to Wuhan and Hubei during the pandemic and was pleased to see the province is moving towards normality gradually.

 

 

Both sides then exchanged opinions on facilitating cooperation to advance shared interests. At the end of the meeting, DDG Chen invited the Chamber to attend the Hubei Free Trade Zone Industrial Innovation Development Conference that is going to take place in Wuhan in October.
