Comments to CAAC on the Rules of Airworthiness Approval of Civil Aviation Products and Components (CCAR-21-R4)

Dr Javier Vicedo, representative for the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), took part in an online meeting with key members of the Aviation & Aerospace Working Group (WG) on 10th March, to discuss the technical terms and key articles of the Approval Rules of Airworthiness of Civil Aviation Products and Components(CCAR-21-R4 (Draft for Comments). This is the most important regulatory document in terms of the approval and validation of airworthiness licences. Attendees shared their comments and views on the modification, the effect and the application of CCAR-21-R4 and the airworthiness content of the Bilateral Aviation Safety Agreement (BASA) for European aeronautic manufacturers in China.

 

After the meeting, the Aviation & Aerospace WG collected comments from members on CCAR-21-R4 and submitted them to the Airworthiness Department of the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC). The WG also arranged a meeting with the CAAC to further clarify and interpret the articles of CCAR -21- R4.
