Submitted comments on MEE's Technical Guidelines for the Prevention and Control of Pollution from Solid Waste Recycling (Second Draft)

On 10th June 2019, the European Chamber's Environment working group submitted comments to the Ministry of Ecology and Environment's Technical Guidelines for the Prevention and Control of Pollution from Solid Waste Recycling (Second Draft).
The suggestions were as follows:
- To complete application conditions of listed sorting technology, add the description of optical sorting on solid waste sorting.
- To add screening in pre-treatment of solid waste; according to market application and also case study, screening is used as a common pre-treatment process as well.
- To increase recycling rate of solid waste especially construction waste, by encouraging the adoption of advanced technology under consideration of market and economy feasibility, to raise the market value of recycled construction materials and further improve recycling results.
