Meeting with Anhui Commerce Department DDG on World Manufacturing Convention 2019

To continue the previous successful cooperation, Mr Liu Guang, Deputy Director General of Anhui Provincial Commerce Department, paid European Chamber a second visit to invite the Chamber to join the second World Manufacturing Convention, which will be held on 20-23 September 2019, in Hefei, Anhui province. With the theme of "Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Creativity: Embracing the New Era of Manufacturing", the convention will focus on new technology and products in advanced manufacturing and aims to build a platform for domestic and foreign business to cooperate.

The World Manufacturing Convention is receiving great attention from the central government. This year, there will be eight state-level ministries and departments co-organising the convention, including MIIT, MOST, MOFCOM, SASAC, ACFIC, Chinese Academy of Engineering, China Association of Small and Medium Enterprises, and Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries. The convention will also hold an award ceremony focusing on standards. The award is recognized at the state level.

The European Chamber Shanghai GM Ioana Kraft also presented the Position Paper and the Shanghai Position Paper to the Anhui Commerce Department officials.
