The General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ) recently submitted the Measures for the Supervision and Administration of Import and Export Food Safety (draft) to WTO for its member state’s comments. The European Chamber AFB Working Group will work with the EU Delegation to raise concerns and recommendations of the industry. 

 

In general, the Measures for the Supervision and Administration of Import and Export Food Safety (draft) has further improved the supervision on imported and exported food and filled up the vacancy of previous relevant laws and regulations. We suggest further explaining or improving individual terms in order to better implement the Measures.
