Meeting with CCIA on Industry's Role in Cybersecurity Protection

Representatives of the European Chamber's ICT and Cybersecurity Working Groups joined the EU Delegation's Communications Networks, Content & Technology (Connect) Section in a meeting with the China Cybersecurity Industry Alliance (CCIA), to discuss industry's role in cybersecurity protection.

As a follow-up of the third EU-China Cybersecurity and Digital Economy Expert Group meeting in Leuven, Belgium, from 1 to 3 March, the EU Delegation expressed hope for further involvement of the industry during China's protection of cybersecurity. Representatives of the European Chamber gave an introduction to their work and invited the CCIA to join future working group meetings to share their insights on cybersecurity. Other topics that were touched upon including the role that foreign companies are playing within the CCIA, as well as the latter's work in the field of critical infrastructure protection.
