Exclusive Dialogue with AQSIQ on the New Food Safety Law

Director General Lin Wei of the Bureau of Import and Export Food Safety, General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ), gave an exclusive policy debriefing on the new Food Safety Law at the Exclusive Dialogue. During the Dialogue, DG Lin expressed the government’s commitment to ensuring the food safety in China with sound and comprehensive regulation and management. He also talked about the regulation changes on importing and exporting in the new Law; trends and reforms in ports and customs supervision; and plans for new regulations on food and cosmetics imports and exports. In the following Q&A session, he answered questions about bilateral import and export agreement, cross-border e-commerce, list of the disqualified imported food, etc.
