In manufacturing enterprises, an average of 10%~20% of the labor cost is spent on the supply of internal materials and the placement of materials at the line, and 75% of the operation activities are related to material handling. In order to support continuous production, the required materials must also flow synchronously. Only in this way can materials always be within reach. Synchronous material flow means getting the right quantity and quality of materials in the right place and at the right time. Just like in supermarkets, only those goods actually sold will be put on the shelves. 在制造型企业中，平均10%~20%的人力成本都耗费在内部物料的供应和线边物料的摆放上，75%的运营活动与物料搬运相关。为了支持持续生产，所需的物料也必须同步的流动，只有这样，才能让物料永远触手可及。同步的物料流意味着要在正确的地方，正确的时间，得到正确数量和质量的物料。就像在超市中一样，只有那些实际卖掉的商品才会补上货架。
