Numerous applications were received from companies based in and outside of the European member states in the 2023 submission process. To highlight the successful stories of the winning applications from this year, we group the winners by the countries of origin. In this talk, we are inviting companies originating from France, FORVIA Faurecia China, Lesaffre, and VEOLIA, who won the 2023 SBA in these categories respectively - Decarbonisation Leader, Rural Development Pioneer, and Circular Economy Pioneer, to outline their successful projects and practices. To recognise the contribution of French companies to sustainability, the Chamber is also inviting a representative from the Consulate General of the Republic of France in Shanghai to deliver the closing remarks.

As part of its 30/60 carbon neutrality goals, China set a goal for renewable energy to exceed fossil fuel capacity by 2025, a target that has already been reached two years ahead of schedule. Renewable energy sources, as China defines them, now make up over half of the country’s power capacity.
