We are pleased to announce the return of one EFIC’s cherished yearly traditions: la pétanque. This year’s tournament will be held on Saturday December 15th. This fun day open to everyone and all ages will feature the classic French game of “pétanque” but also a barbecue, a drink stand, pinball machines, and lots of prizes to be won.

On November 6th, the European Union Commissioner for Health and Food Safety, Mr. Vytenis Andriukaitis, has participated in the China International Food Safety and Quality Conference held in Shanghai, where he gave an opening speech on EU-China enhanced cooperation in the food safety field. For both the European Union and China, food safety and cooperation in this area is a preoccupation of critical importance, as safety, traceability, regulatory and fraud issues in the food industry have the potential to hamper trade between the two partners.
