Guest speakers Jacky and Cynthia will give an overview of the PRC individual income tax ("IIT") in respect of foreigners together with recent updates on China social security. During this seminar we will outline:

• Overview of the PRC IIT compliance requirements applicable to foreigners and their employers;
• Updates on PRC social security requirements applicable foreigners and their employers;

Guest Speakers
Jacky Chu
Jacky Chu is a partner in the International Assignment Services practice with over 15 years of experience in providing China and Hong Kong personal tax compliance and consulting services. He specialises in advising on China and Hong Kong inbound and outbound assignment related matters, including tax compliance risks and advisory on cross-border taxation, expatriate cost management, tax planning and structuring strategies, compensation and reward design, tax audit defence, social security, forex and remittance, visa and work permit requirements etc.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree majoring in Accounting and a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree with honours. He is a Fellow member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA) and the Taxation Institute of Hong Kong. He is also a Certified Tax Adviser (HK).
He often participates in public seminars and forums organized by professional organizations and business associations on cross-border taxation and other topics relating to international assignments.
Cynthia Duan
Cynthia is the manager in Guangzhou PwC providing China individual Income Tax service (“IIT”) and other related services, such as Visa, labour law advices, health check etc.
Cynthia has over 8 years of professional experience in providing professional services to domestic and multinational companies on China IIT matters. Her client includes large companies in different industries, such as FMCG, chemistry industry, technology and health product, etc.
Cynthia holds a Master degree from Manchester Business School. She is a qualified China Certified Public Accountant.
