We are pleased to invite you to a joint event organised by the European Chamber, CBI, CBBC and Willis for the UK launch of the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China’s European Business in China Position Paper 2011/2012 on Thursday 22nd September 2011 between 18:30-21:00 at the Willis Building, 51 Lime St, EC3M 7DQ.
This is the 12th edition of this annual publication which has grown in importance and stature to become a vital contribution from private business to the development of China and Europe-China relations.
In this past year, despite some progress, many issues remain unresolved and additional concerns have arisen. The many examples in this publication illustrate the perception of European business that it is becoming increasingly challenging to operate in the Chinese market.
Drawing on the industry knowledge and expertise of the European Chamber’s 1,600 member companies, this year’s Position Paper presents Chinese and European policy-makers with more than 600 key recommendations.
At the launch, Jens Ruebbert, Vice-President, European Union Chamber of Commerce in China will present a summary of the key issues in this year’s Position Paper, with a panel discussion to follow which will also include senior people from the European Chamber, CBBC and CBI who and will answer questions you may have about the business environment in China.
