Thanks to its booming economy, opening market, and growth in consumer spending, it is no surprise that China is top on the list of markets to ‘crack’ for businesses worldwide. However, a multitude of often unique risks accompany the opportunities of doing business in China. These risks are especially serious for SMEs, who do not have the wealth of resources that multinationals have to weather the storms that these risks bring. For SMEs, there is little margin for error on entering the Chinese market, and inadequate awareness and preparation for the China risks all too often result in failure, fast.
The European Chamber of Commerce in China is delighted to invite you to a special seminar on SME Risk on 19 October 2010 at the Kerry Centre Hotel - where three experienced SME Managers will share their thoughts and insights on SME Risk based on their own rich China experience. The seminar will introduce the importance of developing the proper
‘Risk Attitude’, and provide practical advice that can help managers prepare for the most common risks of doing business in China. This seminar will be the first of a series of events, presented by the European Chamber that will focus on topics and issues of key interest to SMEs in China.
