In view of a number of important recent developments in China’s Patent Law that are hotly-debated of late, it is important we do not lose sight of the corresponding developments as to the application and interpretation of said patent regulations in the court of law. In a seminar on 26th of May, Judge Wenlian Ding, IP Judge at the Shanghai High Court, summarised recent developments in Chinese patent case trials through several case studies. He highlighted major trends in the trial of intellectual property. Mr. Oliver Lutze, Chief Representative Shanghai Office at Spruson & Ferguson, provided his insights on the experiences from foreign companies enforcing patents in China.
