Working Group Meeting on Green Shipbuilding with China Waterborne Transport Research Institute of Ministry of Transport

The European Chamber Maritime Manufacturing & Industrial Services and International Liner Shipping Working Groups were glad to invite Mr Mr Ji Yongbo, Director, Shipping Center, China Waterborne Transport Research Institute, Ministry of Transport to present green shipping policy trends under 14 Five year Plan of China. During the meeting, Mr Ji Yongbo with MOT gave a presentation on Green and Low-carbon Development and Policy Trends of China’s Shipping in the Next Five Years. Mr Ji mentioned three aspects, namely “Green and Low-carbon policy orientation of Chinese shipping”, “trends in clean energy applications”, and “future development considerations and suggestions”. Ms Reenata Pavlov, Executive Committee Member, Mr Tiger Yong, Chair of Maritime Manufacturing & Industrial Services WG, and Mr Adnan Ezzarhouni, Vice Chair of Maritime Manufacturing and & Industry Services WG, along with participants onsite and online, held an in-depth discussion with Mr Ji on issues including green corridor, technological cooperation, incentive policies, and inland river ships in China.
