Against the backdrop of the current changes in the global trade landscape, the trade friction caused by the reciprocal tariff policy of the United States has brought uncertainty to international economic cooperation. Meanwhile, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and the EU, the recent interaction and communication between China and the EU has released positive signals. On May 6, the Chinese side and the European Parliament decided to fully lift the restrictions on mutual exchanges in tandem, and at the same time, the Chinese side said that it welcomes the visit of the EU leaders to China to hold a new round meeting between the leaders of the EU and China. This closed-door meeting will focus on the outlook of EU-China relations in the new situation and discuss how both sides can deepen cooperation and meet challenges together in the current complex international environment.
