The 1st China-Europe Sports Summit ‘Moving Together’ follows the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the European Chamber and China’s General Administration of Sports (GAS) to build bridges between sports communities in Europe and China. European sports companies in China are keen to support China’s community goals by promoting healthy lifestyles, sports activities and wellness to create a better life for all. Bringing together European Sports companies, government stakeholders and the local communities through the integration of sports and education to promote the development of sports in China is a core goal of this initiative.
The half-day summit will see experts analyse various aspects of the fast-developing sports landscape in China, with panel discussions featuring representatives from European sports companies, sports opinion leaders and government representatives. The event will delve deeper into trending topics in the industry, such as the development of a winter sports industry, youth sports development, motorsport as well as the current landscape of the China market as well as the wider ecosystem of the sports industry.

Mr. Benjamin Wahl
Benjamin is heading BVB’s office in Shanghai which was established in 2017; Formerly he was leading the China business for league-opponent Bayer 04 Leverkusen and transferred to Borussia Dortmund. With his whole family coming from the area of Dortmund he was born with a black & yellow heart. With its presence in East Asia Borussia Dortmund is emphasizing its efforts to maintain the leader for youth football development and to be close to its magnificent fans & partners.
Mr. Jingui Wu

Mr. Jingui Wu
Mr. Jingui Wu was born on 10 January 1961 in Shanghai. He studied in Beijing Sports University for 4 years, went to Germany to study for 6 years, and worked as an assistant for a foreign manager for 6 years, and is proficient in English and German. As the head coach, he led Shanghai Shenhua Football Club to win the championship in the last Chinese Jia-A League.
Wu has served as the head coach of teams including Shanghai Shenhua Football Club and Hangzhou Greentown Football Club. In September 2012, he became the technical director and acting head coach of Shandong Luneng. On 11 September 2017, Wu became the head coach of the team. On 25 December 2018, Shanghai Greenland Shenhua Football Club decided to appoint Wu as the club's sports director. On 4 August 2020, Qingdao Huanghai Football Club decided to appoint Wu as the head coach of its first team. On 13 December 2021, Wu resigned from his position as the head coach of Qingdao Football Club. In March 2022, Wu became the head coach of Shanghai Shenhua for the fifth time.
Mr. Dongfeng Liu

Mr. Dongfeng Liu
Professor Liu’s main research interests include sports and urban development, and China’s sport policy. He has over 70 publications including books and referred journals articles. His articles are published in journals such as Tourism Economics, and European Sport Management Quarterly. He is also an international professor with Bayreuth University, Stockholm School of Economics, International Monaco University, University College Dublin, and German Sport University Cologne, etc.
Ms. Daisy Wang

Ms. Daisy Wang
Ms. WANG, devotes herself in sport industry for nearly 20 years with the expertise in the area of commercial property and corporate communication.
Decathlon originated from France, has a long presence in China since 1980s, expanded its Chinese business in the areas of retailing, supply chain, logistic, serving 50 Million+ Chinese sports loves each year.
Ms. WANG started her career in Decathlon at 2005, led the opening and successful operation of the first Decathlon store in Tianjin, and set up the exemplary model for more than 40+ stores opening in China. After she served as the Business Development Director at Decathlon North Zone, cultivated the talents, led and promoted the team to expand Decathlon’s Physical stores in more than 30+ cities. Later, she also concurrently served as the Government Affairs Director at Decathlon China; prioritized to establish the business model enabling Decathlon’s business covering social benefits of practicing sports in communities.
Ms. WANG served as Vice President at Decathlon China starting from 2015. She focused on highlighting Decathlon’s presence to public, created the IP of Dopamine Rebound the Earth in 2020 to promote 100 Million people practicing sport in pandemic period, she also bent herself to promote sports to local citizens and establish long-term collaborations with 20+ local governments.
Ms. WANG served as Vice Chair of Foreign Investment Associations in the region of Pudong, Shanghai and Guandong for years, as well served as council member of CCOIC, led the dialogues between Chinese governments and foreign enterprises on topics of interests.

China Automobile Athlete (Rally Raid)
Shanghai Sheercool Sports Development Co., based in Jiading, as a partner in high-performing snow and ice teams of the Shanghai Administration of Sports, has set up the Shanghai Ski Team. Through hiring former national youth team coaches, retired national team athletes, and other ice and snow sports athletes, Sheercool has brought in high-level ski athletes while training Shanghai local ski athletes.
Mr. Qingming Su

Mr. Qingming Su
Qingming Su was the Director of the Athletic Sports Division of the Shanghai Municipal Sports Bureau. Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice President of Shanghai Sports Vocational College. In April 2023, he became the fifth vice-chairman of the China Ice Hockey Association. He is currently the President of Shanghai Ice and Snow Association。
Mr. Li Yi

Mr. Li Yi
Graduated from the UK’s Manchester University, Li Yi was once a professional football player as a teenager and a member of the youth team of Stockport County Football Club. In 2006, Li Yi returned to China after graduation and joined the preparation and construction work of Dolomiti Ski Resort, the first foreign-funded ski resort, and became one of the pioneers in China’s skiing industry. Li Yi has worked in several operating positions at the ski resort, studied and worked in Italian and Swiss skiing fields for a long term, and successively gained the Swiss coach qualification of national level and a professional European ski maintenance certificate. In 2015, Li Yi formally entered Wanda Performance Cultural Management, being responsible for the pre-opening and general in charge of operation of Harbin Wanda Theme Park. In 2018, he joined Sunac Cultural Tourism Group, established the Entertainment Snow Management Department, and was responsible for the operational management of six snow parks under Sunac and the planning of future projects. In 2020, he established the Ice and Snow Center, creating brands such as Sunac Snow World, Ski School, and Ski Club. He led the acquisition of Sunac’s first external management output business, organized the annual skiing industry grand event, and established the Sunac skiing brand. In 2021, he founded Sunac Snow Company named BONSKI and served as the Deputy General Manager of the Operations Center, responsible for the operational management of the company’s indoor snow parks nationwide and the management of light asset snow parks program. Since 2023, he has been serving as the Vice President of BONSKI, responsible for the Skiing Training Center, which includes the operation, management, training, domestic and international campus expansion, and business cooperation of the ski school.
Ms. Li Zhang

Ms. Li Zhang
She is Vice President of Asia Digital Group since joining IDG, and previously Vice President of IDG China and also Vice President of IDG Ventures Management and Vice President of IDG Sports. She was a diplomat at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China and the Chinese Embassy in Finland and later became a lecturer in Finance at Aalto University (previously Helsinki School of Economics). She has also founded Bright Sky Group and acted as the CEO of the company. She is completing her Ph.D. Degree in Finance at Aalto University (Finland). And she has a master’s degree in Finance from Columbia University (USA), a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Helsinki (Finland) and a bachelor’s degree in English and Information Management from Beijing Foreign Studies University (China).
She has over 20 years of work experience in the industry, government and academia with an international background in China, USA and Europe. She has rich experience in innovation and entrepreneurship, investment and merger and acquisition, venture philanthropy, impact investing, digital economy, education, culture, tourism, winter sports industry, mountain economics, financial technology (FinTech), information technology, AI, lean management, incubator and science park, and cross-culture management.
She is also the FinTech Expert accredited by China Capital Market Institute, Councilor of Steering Committee of China-Europe Health and Sports Council, Secretary General of Finland-China Entrepreneurs Association, the Entrepreneurship Mentor at the Students and Scholars Association, and the Honorary Chairperson of Cross-Culture Communication Translation Association, Editor- in-Chief of China Winter Sports White Paper, Councilor of China Sports Industry Research Institute, Vice Chairperson of the Steering and Evaluation Committee of China Winter Sports Awards, Councilor of Steering Committee of China-Europe Health and Sports Council.
Mr. Robin Trebbe
Mr. Robin Trebbe
Robin Trebbe is the Vice President of Adidas Greater China responsible for growing the sports categories in the region.
Trebbe has over two-decades global experience in the retail sector with a focus on Germany, APAC including the Greater China. Before joining Adidas, he worked at INTERSPORT where he was responsible for the implementation of their global strategy and for developing their multichannel e-commerce strategies in China and APAC.
Mr. Steven Basart

Mr. Steven Basart
Steven has lived and worked in China for over 15 years in the non-profit management industry leading and representing global trade associations, professional societies and business interest groups in the region.
Steven is a Dutch national and a Permanent Resident of China. He is a lawyer and sinologist by training. He has a native level language proficiency in Mandarin, English, and Dutch.

Mr. Christian Stipp
Having built his career in the sports goods industry for 18 years, Christian founded Avantgarde China in the same year that Formula 1 came to Shanghai in 2004.
Fascinated by motorsport, it was a matter of the heart for him to support brands such as Pirelli or BMW Sauber at the F1 races in China and Porsche for Carrera Cup in Asia since 2012.
Avantgarde is one of the leading brand experience agencies in the world. Here in China Christian and his team have a strong connection to the automotive industry. With clients like Audi, Porsche, General Motors and Jaguar Land Rover, Avantgarde is creating outstanding brand experiences, such as product launches, exhibition stands, pop up or driving experiences.
Mr. Davide de Gobbi

Mr. Davide de Gobbi
Davide is the MD of Topspeed - Founded in 2008, Topspeed Shanghai is the leading Asian motorsports and driving events company. Davide De Gobbi comes from Italy, owning over 20 years’ experience in motorsports management area. He was voted “Promoter of the year” by Auto News in 2012 and was featured the cover story for Auto NEWS 2013 April issue.
In Italy, Davide has worked in the Top F3 team Prema Power for nearly 10 years, from the team engineer to technical director and the team manager, he has accumulated rich experience of racing and management. At the same time he served as driver coach and driver headhunter in Toyota F1 Academy, the coach of Robert Kubica, Kamui Kobayashi and Kazuki Nakajima. He could have landed a more senior position in F1, but he chose to come to China, developing the China’s motorsport business.
Davide started to contact China's motorsport market in 2004, later then he came to China as technical director, lead the Chinses team in the Asian Formula Renault to win the driver and team champion many times. Founding Topspeed Limited Shanghai, Davide started working on motorsport events and culture promotion. He helped VW Scirocco, Ferrari, Lamborghini to import their one-make event brand and developed to be the models of China racing. Davide also worked on the top driving course, like Ferrari Corso Pilota, Lamborghini Driving Academia, Pure McLaren etc. Davide’s biggest hope is one day to send the Chinese drivers to F1 podium.
Mr. Alex Blackie

Mr. Alex Blackie
As Head of Audi Sport customer racing Asia, Alex Blackie is responsible for growing and supporting one of Asia’s largest active customer bases, developing young Asian professional motorsport talent and building immersive brand experiences and activations in the region. In 2021, Alex launched the Audi Sport Asia Junior Programme, the most comprehensive young driver development programme ever undertaken in the region by the Four Rings. Previously to his current role, Alex was part of the senior management team of the world’s only full-spec GT3 one-make series, the Audi Sport R8 LMS Cup in his role as Spokesman for Audi Sport Asia.
Mr. Alexandre Imperatori

Mr. Alexandre Imperatori
Alexandre Imperatori, 36 years old, is the Series Manager for the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia and a professional racing driver from Switzerland with a wealth of racing experience both in Chinese and International motorsport. Alexandre lives in Shanghai and has been based in China since 2006. Alexandre’s first race in China came at the inaugural 2004 Chinese Formula One Grand Prix weekend competing in the Formula Renault 2.0 support series. Over the last 20 years, he has witnessed first-hand the development of Motorsport in China in his various roles as driver, coach and now series organizer. Alexandre’s career record includes winning the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia, the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the World Endurance Championship in LMP1-P as well as podium finishes at the 24 Hours of Nurburgring and 24H of Daytona.

Tiantian is a Senior Business Manager with a demonstrated history of working in the Sino-EU government relations industry. Skilled in Corporate Social Responsibility, International Relations, Programme Design and Policy Analysis across the food and beverage sector, auto sector as well as the satellite industry.
During her role leading the CSR Forum of the European Chamber, she organised European Chamber 10th Anniversary Conference in 2015 and coordinated with more than 30 member companies’ speakers, led (edited, designed, coordinated) and managed the CSR White Paper project which includes the liaison and coordination of more than 10 Member States Consulate Generals in Shanghai and 20 sponsor companies in 2016; Organised the European Chamber Shanghai Chapter first Sustainable Business Awards and designed seven series of CEO Talks; Organised the Dutch Minister of Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation CSR Dialogue at the European Chamber in April 2018 and the 2018 SBA in September; Established Shanghai Local Media (Shine: Shanghai Daily App) cooperation with European Chamber and launched European Chamber Sustainable Column at Shanghai Daily in 2017; Led the European Chamber CSR Team teach at Shanghai University for its MBA students on CSR together with the Swedish CSR Ambassador in summer 2017, 2018 and 2019; Led the CSR delegation join the European Commission Multi-Stakeholder Meeting in Brussels and coordinate the member speech delivered on CSR in China on February 2015 (First time in the history of the Multi-Stakeholder meeting to host delegates from China and hear China CSR practice).
