Events are held in English and follow the Chatham House rule unless otherwise stated.
Advisory Council Policy
Members of the Advisory Council may receive complimentary admission to Chamber seminars, conferences and factory visits up to two attendees per event. Additional participants will be charged at the member rate.
Advisory Council members will still be charged the standard member rate for participation in training courses and special events, such as gala balls, government appreciation dinners, or admission to corporate social events/tournaments.

Mr. Carlo Diego D’Andrea

Mr. Carlo Diego D’Andrea
Founder and Managing Partner of D’Andrea & Partners Legal Counsel, and Founder of DP Group.
Graduated in Law at the University of Teramo (Italy), he then subsequently obtained a Masters’ degree in Corporate Advisor at LUISS University in Rome and a Diploma in Chinese Studies at Nanjing Normal University and is a member of the Italian Bar Association.
Mr. D’Andrea arrived in China in 2005 and is fluent in Italian (mother tongue), English, Mandarin Chinese and Spanish. He mainly deals with cross-border mergers and acquisitions, assistance in ODI/FDI and intellectual property rights.
He is also acting as Vice President of the European Chamber and Chair of the Shanghai Chapter.
Ms. Di Liu

Ms. Di Liu
Liu Di is the Programme Analyst of UN Women China Office. She joined UN Women in February 2018 and has been responsible for the conceptualization and execution of a portfolio of women's economic empowerment programmes. Before joining UN Women, she worked for the Cultural and Educational Section of the British Embassy for nearly 8 years and dedicated to the development and implementation of a portfolio of cross-regional projects concerning sustainable development topics such as climate change and social enterprises. She holds a master’s degree in Education Technology and Society from the University of Bristol UK.
Ms. Jeanette Yu

Ms. Jeanette Yu
Jeanette Yu is Partner and head of Employment & Pensions Practice Area Group of CMS, China. She has more than 20 years’ experience in providing advice for international companies on labour law issues and compliance management. Her extensive track record comprises recruitment and dismissal of employees, formulating employee handbooks and implementing its policies, work permits and visa issues of expatriates, international secondment, data privacy, non-competition, social security, trade union and labour disputes. She has also been involved in significant projects of business transactions and restructuring, advising clients on employee transfer, relocation and lay-off of employees as well as negotiation of employment contracts and separation agreements.
Since 2017, Jeanette has been acting as the National Chair/Vice Chair of HR Working Group of European Chamber of Commerce in China. This year Jeanette was elected as the National Chair of HR Working Group of European Chamber of Commerce in China.
Starting from 2017, Jeanette acted as the Vice Chair of HR Working Group of European Chamber of Commerce in China, and the Chair in 2019. Jeanette is also a member of Shanghai Law Society Labour and Social Security Law Research Branch.
Ms. Heidi Wang

Ms. Heidi Wang
A distinguished alumna of the East China University of Science & Technology and holder of an IMBA from the University of Hong Kong and Fudan University, our speaker's educational foundation has been the bedrock of a dynamic career in chemical engineering and business management. Her latest role as GM at Coatex, a division of Arkema China, since September 2023, showcases her versatility in leadership—spearheading R&D, commercial initiatives, operations, and legal oversight with dexterity.
Renowned for her adaptability, she has consistently demonstrated an eagerness to embrace change and leverage digital tools such as RPA, Python, and PowerBI. This innovative mindset has markedly improved operational efficiencies and navigated the complexities of the volatile raw materials market; when she was in charge of all the purchasing of raw materials, energy and packaging for Arkema China.
Her trajectory at Bostik (Shanghai) Management Co., Ltd. as Business Director and Marketing Director illustrates a track record of pioneering growth and strategic brand development in the consumer business realm. Her acumen for nurturing talent is evidenced by accolades as the best internal trainer at Bostik and an outstanding trainer at Arkema, reflecting her passion for developing future leaders.
Beyond her professional pursuits, she engages in reading and swimming—activities that reflect her commitment to a well-rounded lifestyle. This commitment to growth and balance is a testament to her status as an inspiring figure both within and beyond the corporate arena.
Ms. Joanne Wood

Ms. Joanne Wood
Joanne Wood is a 40-year veteran investment banker turned tech investor and entrepreneur.
In 2006, she founded Capital Eight, a corporate finance house headquartered in Shanghai, advising clients on a wide range of M&A, debt and equity capital raising, corporate restructure and infrastructure financing. Joanne previously worked in senior corporate finance positions with UBS, Jardine Fleming and GE Capital across Europe, the USA and Greater China, and was internationally ranked as a leading Asian-emerging markets advisor.
In 2012, Joanne began mentoring tech startups in China, advising aspiring entrepreneurs as an accredited mentor of Silicon Valley’s SOSV accelerator programs. She now mentors globally, and also serves on the Advisory Boards of a UAE-headquartered Web3 infrastructure platform, an Italian biotech and an Australian new energy venture. In 2023, she joined the founding team of a pioneering Singapore agri-tech developing a proprietary range of alternative plant-based proteins from farm waste.
Over the last 20 years, she has been active in the local community serving as Chair of the British Chamber’s Financial Services Group, Chair of the American Chamber’s Ethics Council, inaugural Chair of the National Australian Chamber Greater China and Vice Chair of the EU Chamber’s Investment Working Group. She is a staunch advocate of female entrepreneurship and the empowerment of women in business.
Joanne is a regular speaker at international conferences and often asked for her views on the China investment environment. She holds an MBA from London Business School, a B. Arts degree from the University of Adelaide, South Australia and reads, writes and speaks Mandarin.
Mr. Peter Qiu

Mr. Peter Qiu
Peter Qiu joined Deutsche Bank in 2019 and is currently President of Deutsche Bank China Co., Ltd and Head of Coverage for Greater China. In his president role, Mr. Qiu is responsible for the overall management of Deutsche Bank’s wholly owned subsidiary bank in China, including the development and execution of the bank’s long-term strategy. In coverage role, he is responsible for the strategic development of the business, such as expanding Deutsche Bank’s client portfolio. His focuses include supporting Chinese companies in their global expansion and facilitating multinational companies in enhancing their footprints in China.
Mr. Qiu owns extensive significant industry and market knowledge of banking business, having worked on the ground in China for 27 years. Before joining Deutsche Bank, he was the Deputy Chief Executive Officer, board member, and Head of Coverage at Societe Generale (China) Limited. Prior to that, he held a number of senior roles at HSBC and Citibank.
Mr. Qiu graduated with a Master of Economics and Bachelor of Science from Fudan University.
Ms. Andréa Buchin

Ms. Andréa Buchin
Having held positions in Marketing Management in international companies, Andréa has supported firms in their development and positioning strategy, particularly in Asia. She joined DS Avocats in 2011, contributing her expertise to the management of DS Avocats' offices in China and to Business Development. Her efforts also aim to optimize resources effectively in a high-growth environment. She currently serves as the main contact in Shanghai for our clients regarding general business structuring and compliance issues in China.
Ms. Claudia Kosser

Ms. Claudia Kosser
Claudia Kosser is a Partner with FGS Global and is the Head of the Shanghai office. She advises clients from various sectors in corporate communications and strategic positioning, as well as in cross-border M&A-transactions and crisis situations.
She has more than a decade of experience and launched the FGS Global Shanghai office in 2019 after working for the firm in Frankfurt and Hong Kong. Claudia advises clients from various sectors, including automotive, automation and industry as well as consumer, retail and professional services firms.
She holds a Masters in Communication Management from Leipzig University and Bachelor degree in European Studies from the University of Maastricht.
Ms. Blair Wei

Ms. Blair Wei
Blair spearheads in building Shui On's innovation eco-system, developing strategic partnerships with top-tier universities, institutions, investors, tech-giants, start-up communities, and venture capital companies. Meanwhile, she is also in charge of RayVC, Shui On's VC platform with two funds currently under management, focusing on how tech start-ups could contribute to the sustainable growth of our future city. Prior to joining Shui On, she worked at a private equity investment platform with experiences in both investment and fundraising. In 2015, she co-founded the co-working start-up "WooSpace", hosting innovation-related events for the start-up community in Beijing. Blair holds a master's degree from Harvard University and a bachelor's degree from Cornell University.
Mr. Roy Ren

Mr. Roy Ren
Roy Ren is the National Vice Chair of the European Chamber Human Resources Working Group and an experienced Senior Director at Fragomen’s Shanghai office. With more than 13 years of experience in immigration consultancy, Roy serves as an Account Manager and manages a wide range of clients including global, regional, and local corporations. Roy leads a team of immigration professionals to deliver China immigration consultancy and compliance services. In addition to some of the key operational functions in the Shanghai office, Roy is also responsible for liaising with immigration authorities across China. Roy is a frequent speaker on China immigration matters.
Prior to joining Fragomen, Roy was responsible for global mobility services for China immigration and consular matters into other jurisdictions at a global organization. Roy also has in-house human resources experience and experience working for a government department.
Roy is fluent in Mandarin and English.
