The Agriculture Food and Beverage, Environment, Cosmetics, Petrochemicals, Chemicals and Refining and R&D Working Groups are delighted to invite you to a Joint working group meeting on Updates on Outlook on rPET Recycling and Usage. The meeting will be in two sessions. In the first session, Mr. David J. Ettinger and Mr. Eric Gu from Keller& Heckman will share their insights of Global Management Mechanisms about rPET Bottles. It will followed by a presentation speech by Veolia to share the best practices on rPET recycling.
The second session features a Penal Discussion, which will be be led by Mr. Jet Chang, the National Vice Chair of the Environment Working Group,and joint be Ms Emily Xiao, Technology Manager, Packaging Material & Compliance Beiersdorf Innovation Center Shanghai, and Ms Molly Jia, Plastic Initiative Project Manager, Ellen MacArthur Foundation.

Mr. DAVID J. ETTINGER

Mr. DAVID J. ETTINGER
In 1999, Mr. Ettinger joined Keller and Heckman, a law firm headquartered in Washington, D.C. He is the Chief Representative of Keller and Heckman’s Shanghai office counseling clients on the import and export of food and food-related products to ensure compliance with regulations in the U.S., Europe, and Asia. Mr. Ettinger has worked in the firm’s Washington, D.C. and Brussels offices, and he is uniquely positioned to counsel foreign food and food packaging companies in the Asian market.
In China, he handles compliance and enforcement matters ranging from ingredient and labeling to product detention and food recalls. Mr. Ettinger is on the Executive Board of Mackrell International (a global network of over 90 international law firms). Mr. Ettinger is Chair of the American Chamber of Commerce Shanghai’s Food, Agriculture & Beverage Committee and member of Keller and Heckman’s Marketing Committee. He is a frequent lecturer and author on international food safety matters and is listed in The Best Lawyers in America® 2016 and 2017 (FDA Law).
Prior to joining Keller and Heckman, Mr. Ettinger was a trademark attorney with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Additionally, he has extensive trial experience as a former assistant district attorney in the Nassau County District Attorney's Office in New York where he prosecuted felonies and misdemeanors.

Commit to improving the consumer experience of packaged products and continuous innovation and evolution of sustainable development work. 深耕包装行业15年+,资深包装研发。从事过个人护理,家居护理,化妆品领域的包装工作。致力于提升消费者关于包装制品的消费体验以及可持续发展工作的不断革新与进化。目前在拜尔斯道夫集团上海研发中心担任包装合规和可持续发展工作。
Mr. Eric Gu

Mr. Eric Gu
Eric Gu has extensive experience in food and food packaging regulations. He advises clients on food labeling, food ingredients and food packaging compliance matters. In addition, he counsels clients on regulatory issues with respect to other products, including cosmetics, drug/drug excipients, tobacco and e-cigarettes, and other consumer products. He frequently assists clients in obtaining important pre-market approvals and permits, including approvals of new food packaging substances, the food production license, and the drug excipient registration. Eric’s regulatory experience is expansive and extends to China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, Southeast Asia, the European Union and the United States.

Francois Jenny has been working in China since 2005 and involved in the environmental industry from the late 90s. He studied in both France at University of Compiegne (MSC in Chemical Engineering) and the UK graduating from Cranfield University (MSC in Applied Energy) and from Warwick University (MBA). Francois has been engaging in the waste management industry since early 2000, responsible for a variety of waste treatment and recycling plants in Greater China and Asia including Municipal Solid Waste, Organic Waste, Hazardous Waste , Plastic , Construction and Decoration Waste, Soil Remediation, Industrial Services and Sustainable Waste Management etc.. Currently Francois is working for Veolia China as Senior Vice President, in charge of the Solid Waste & Recycling Business Line including Plastic Recycling, Battery Recycling, Landfill, Electronic Waste etc… Francois has developed expertise in circular economy and sustainable development and he is accompanying private and public partners to develop and implement their sustainable development and circular economy road map.
Mr. Jet Chang

Mr. Jet Chang
Jet joined TOMRA on Oct 2017 and has been mostly working on policy advocacy and business development for circular economy transition. Before that, he worked for several international and domestic companies in the environment industry such as Haldor Topsoe China, Poten Environment and Derun Environment (a joint venture by Suez and Chongqing Water Assets Management Co.). From 2004-2011, he also served as senior commercial officer at the Embassy of Denmark in China for 7 years. Jet holds two master’s degrees from the Northwestern Polytechnic University and Nanyang Technological University, respectively.
Ms. Molly Jia

Ms. Molly Jia
Dr. Molly Jia, the project manager for China plastic initiatives at the Ellen MacArthur Foundation. With a PhD in Antarctic marine ecology from University of Tasmania, and years of experience in the plastic pollution, circular economy, chemical management and relevant field, Dr. Molly now focuses on innovative business models to solve the plastic pollution challenge. Prior to join the foundation, Molly was a researcher at Greenpeace focusing on plastic pollution and cross- disciplinary environmental pollutions.
贾柊楠博士现任艾伦·麦克阿瑟基金会中国新塑料经济项目经理,在塑料污染和塑料循环经济领域从业多年,主要关注塑料污染解决方案,探索政策和企业商业模式创新,推动实现塑料循环经济。在加入基金会之前,她在国际环保组织绿色和平从事跨领域的调查研究工作,涉足危险化学品管理、水污染治理、海洋微塑料、企业环境社会责任和塑料污染等议题,并设计和领导了多个跨东亚地区的研究项目。她先后主笔了《破解“可降解塑料”:定义、生产、应用和处置》,探索解决方案的《智慧型超市》,以及探讨中国塑料循环经济转型路径的《中国塑料包装产业循环经济发展战略》等报告。贾柊楠拥有厦门大学海洋生物学士学位和澳大利亚塔斯马尼亚大学的南极海洋生态博士学位。
