The European Chamber is honored to invite you to attend the Leadership Dialogue and the wrap-up event for the second cycle of Cross-industry Mentor Initiative (CIMI) on 15th October 2021 in Beijing. At this event, we will invite Eva Valle Lagares, Minister Counsellor and Head of Trade at the European Delegation to China and Jialei Lin, Program Manager of UN Women in China as the keynote speakers and the C-suite mentors Joerg Wuttke, Jens Eskelund, Michael Chang and Ouyang Bo for the second cycle of CIMI to share their views on how to nurture and transform the female empowerment in the European Community and what a difference both mentors and mentees can make.

Adam Dunnett is responsible for the overall implementation the European Chamber's objectives, visibility, membership and lobbying activities across its 7 chapters and 9 offices in China (Beijing, Chengdu, Chongqing, Guangzhou, Nanjing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Shenyang and Tianjin).

Ms. Eva Valle Lagares
Prior to her current role, she was the Head of the Trade Section at the EU Office for Hong Kong & Macau. She joined the European Commission in 1998 and held various positions in the European Commission working on competition, research and development, while also having served in the cabinets of two EU commissioners. For the last eight years she has worked on trade, focusing on strategy first and then leading the China desk of DG Trade in Brussels responsible of coordinating EU trade and investment relations with China. She is a lawyer by training, specialised in EU law.

Ms. Jialei Lin
Lin Jialei, Programme Manager of UN Women China. With working area focusing on Women’s Economic Empowerment , she took part in formulation and implementation of projects including Gender Equality and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Women’s Access to Equal Employment and Leadership in China. Since 2015, She has actively engaged in designing and organizing UN Women China’s annual International Conference on Gender Equality and CSR. She has extensive experience in project management and CSR. Prior to joining UN Women, she has over 10 years of relevant work experience in private sector and non profit organizations in China and the Netherlands.
Mr. Jörg Wuttke
Mr. Jörg Wuttke
Joerg (Jörg) Wuttke is Partner at DGA-Albright Stonebridge Group. He brings over 25 years' experience as a senior executive working in the China market and Europe-China trade and investment corridor. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Wuttke served as the Chief Representative of BASF in China, based in Beijing, where he was responsible for guiding the company’s investment strategies for China, negotiating large projects, and leading government relations. Before BASF, Mr. Wuttke worked with ABB, a multinational power and automation technologies company, for 11 years on the development and financing of large projects in China, Southeast Asia, Africa, and Russia. In 1993, he became Chief Representative for ABB China in Shanghai and in 1994 moved to the President's Office of ABB China, where he was responsible for the development and financing of large-scale industrial projects.
Mr. Wuttke was President of the EU Chamber of Commerce in China from 2007 to 2010, 2014 to 2017, and 2019 to 2023. From 2001 to 2004, he was the Chairman of the German Chamber of Commerce in China. From 2011 to 2019, Mr. Wuttke was Chairman of the BIAC China Task Force of the Business and Industry Advisory Committee to the OECD (BIAC), a Paris-based body of major business associations that advocates with the OECD. From 2013 to 2016, and again from 2019 to 2023 Mr. Wuttke was Vice Chairman of the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation, International Cooperation Committee, a group representing Multinational Companies in China.
Among other professional distinctions, Mr. Wuttke has been awarded the Order of Leopold II by King Albert II of Belgium, Chevalier de la Légion d'Honneur by President Macron of France, the Order of Italian Star from the President Mattarella of Italy, and the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany (Verdienstorden) by President Steinmeier of Germany. Mr. Wuttke serves on the Robert Bosch Internationale Beteiligungen AG Verwaltungsrat Supervisory Board and is a Member of Mercator Institute for China Studies (MERICS) and the International Board of the Stars Foundation.
Mr. Wuttke earned his bachelor’s degree from DHBW Mannheim and studied Chinese in Shanghai and Taipei. He is based in Washington, D.C.
Mr. Jens Eskelund
Mr. Jens Eskelund
Jens Eskelund was born in 1970 in Aarhus, Denmark. He holds an MA in philosophy and has studied at University of Aarhus and University of Texas at Austin. He has also pursued studies in Chinese at Renmin University in Beijing. Coming to Beijing as a student in 1998, Jens Eskelund began his career in China as Commercial Officer at the Danish Embassy to China before taking on a position in marketing for Maersk Line in Beijing in 2000. He has since held positions as General Manager for Public Affairs for Maersk Line in China and later Director of Public Affairs for North Asia before assuming his present role as Chief Representative for Maersk in the Greater China Area and North-East Asia. Primary focus areas comprise engaging government entities, institutions and trade associations on matters of policy, regulatory environment and business development on behalf of the companies within the Maersk Group.
Jens Eskelund is a former Chairman of the Danish Chamber of Commerce in China as well as the Vice President and Chair of Maritime Working Group of the European Chamber. Jens was elected as the President of European Chamber in May 2023.
Jens Eskelund is married and has two sons.

Member of China Leadership team, EVP, Head of CX Strategy & Technology, Board Member of Nokia FUNO. He has over 22 years of managerial experience in multinational companies on ICT research & innovation, standardization, technology strategy and regulations and Pre-sales. After joining Nokia, he has assumed various managerial roles in research & standardization, strategy & regulations, Solution Pre-sales/Sales support. He currently looks after all major technologies frontline relevant to Nokia mission and thought leadership in Greater China, e.g. 5G/6G, oRAN/vRAN, critical network evolution, cloud & digital transformation, technology policies for cybersecurity and data security.
Supervisory Board Member of CCSA (China Communication Standard Association). National Chair of ICT working group, EU Chamber of Commerce in China (EUCCC). Michael served as Vice President and Board Member for EUCCC (2017-2019), where he played a leading role in China-EU high level dialogue on High-Tech & Digital policies and cross-industry exchanges. Michael was a member of the “EU-China Expert Group on Digital Economy & Cybersecurity” formed by China & EU government as top dialogue platform on digital policies coordination.
Ms. Bo Ouyang

Ouyang Bo is CFO Siemens Greater China, Director of the Board of Directors, Senior Executive Vice President and CFO of Siemens Ltd., China.
Prior to her current role, Ouyang was Director of the Board of Directors, Executive Vice President and CFO of Siemens Canada Limited, responsible for the overall direction and leadership of Siemens’ financial and commercial functions, as well as business development opportunities in Canada.
Since joining Siemens in 1996, Ouyang has held various financial and commercial management positions in both corporate and division functions. She is equipped with broad business and cross-cultural leadership experiences in various product and service organizations at different countries and regions, skillful in optimizing business processes and financial performance. She has also worked in mergers & acquisitions and reorganization projects with enriched experience in managing organizational change.
In addition to Siemens, Ouyang also worked for some other companies including industrial gases firm Praxair. She holds an MBA degree and CMA certificates and was trainer for accounting & finance management courses.

Ms. Mandy Qin has 25+ years of experience in Human Resources and organization development with several leading multi-national companies, holding various HR management positions, including OD Director for SUEZ Asia, OE Consultant and HR General Manager for Shell, and other key positions in Novartis, Schneider Electric and ConocoPhillips.
She has been dedicated to supporting leadership teams on improving leadership team effectiveness, leading organization change and transformation, reshaping company culture, and achieving performance turnaround. In addition, she has been responsible for, not limited to, HIPO development, first line manager development and senior leader assessment and coaching. She has extensive practical experience and solid theory knowledge in talent development and team effectiveness. She held PhD. in Applied Psychology from Beijing Normal University and Ms. in Engineering from Beijing Technology University.
