The European Chamber Tianjin Chapter board election where Tianjin Chapter Chair of the Board (1), Vice Chair (1) and Board Members (3) are elected, for a two-year term (2021-2023), will take place on Thursday, 22nd April 2021. Now we call for candidates.
>> Who can run for Tianjin chapter board elections?
1. Chair (1 position) – Any representative of a corporate member of the European Chamber
2. Vice Chair (1 position) - Any representative of a corporate member of the European Chamber
3. Board Member (3 positions) – Any representative of a corporate member of the European Chamber and any individual
member (Please note that individual members need a pre-approval from the Executive Committee of the European
Chamber to run for this position).
The Chair, Vice Chair and Board members shall be elected for a two-year term and shall serve for those two years (2021-2023)

The nomination period will open on 3th March 2021 , and will close on 29th March 2021.

You can vote at the elections if you:
1.a. Are a designated representative (the main contact between the European Chamber and your company) of a corporate member, or
1.b. Are an individual member, and
2. Paid the membership fee for the year 2021 and have no outstanding payment
>> How can I vote?
The Articles of Association approved during the AGM in 2019 have made the AGM and local board elections more convenient and practical for our members. You are now welcome to cast your vote either in person, or designate a proxy to vote on your behalf. Please see below more information regarding each voting modality:
1) In person by secret ballot at the election venue on 22nd April 2021. Please note that even if you have voting rights confirmed by the Secretariat of the Chamber, you must have registered for the Tianjin Chapter Board Elections event in order to exercise this vote.
2) Assign a proxy to vote on your behalf by 17:00 on 21st April 2021 . Please fill in the proxy form and send a scanned copy to Ms. Catherine Guo at cguo@europeanchamber.com.cn, or in person at the Chamber office in Tianjin (Room 4108, Tianjin World Finance Centre, No.2 Da Gu Bei Rd. Heping District, Tianjin).
The proxy must be a colleague from your own legal entity. This requirement has only one exception for the Individual member, who may give his/her proxy to another individual member/corporate member in Tianjin.
Proxies received after the deadline and in a format different from those listed above won’t be accepted.
