COVID-19 is disrupting all manner of businesses throughout the world. One of the main challenges arising from COVID-19 is the issue of supply chain disruption. In order to help companies’ supply chain become more resilient, Malaysia is offering itself as a Global Supply Chain Hub in Asia.
The Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) is attracting foreign companies operating in Asia to relocate to and expand into Malaysia, supporting businesses by working with Malaysian companies that are supported by the Government and are seeing as reliable suppliers for MNCs.
The European Chamber of Commerce in China welcomes speakers representatives of MIDA and executives from DHL Express and B. Braun Medical Industries Malaysia, to discuss the following topics:
- Why Malaysia as Global Supply Chain Hub in Asia
- Value proposition by DHL for a sustainable business ecosystem
- A case in point - company success story

Should you fail to cancel your participation on time, the European Chamber reserves the right to transfer future event / webinar registrations to other interested participants. In the case of fee-based events, the event fee will be charged to those who fail to cancel their registration on time.
Advisory Council Policy
Members of the Advisory Council may receive complimentary admission to Chamber seminars, conferences and factory visits up to two attendees per event. Additional participants will be charged at the member rate.
Advisory Council members will still be charged the standard member rate for participation in training courses and special events, such as gala balls, government appreciation dinners, or admission to corporate social events/tournaments.

Mr. Carlo Diego D’Andrea

Mr. Carlo Diego D’Andrea
Founder and Managing Partner of D’Andrea & Partners Legal Counsel, and Founder of DP Group.
Graduated in Law at the University of Teramo (Italy), he then subsequently obtained a Masters’ degree in Corporate Advisor at LUISS University in Rome and a Diploma in Chinese Studies at Nanjing Normal University and is a member of the Italian Bar Association.
Mr. D’Andrea arrived in China in 2005 and is fluent in Italian (mother tongue), English, Mandarin Chinese and Spanish. He mainly deals with cross-border mergers and acquisitions, assistance in ODI/FDI and intellectual property rights.
He is also acting as National Vice President of the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China.
Mr. Dato’ Azman Mahmud

Mr. Dato’ Azman Mahmud
Dato’ Azman Mahmud was named the Chief Executive Officer of MIDA in February 2014 after serving in various leadership positions in the organisation for over 25 years. From developing key industrial sectors to promoting Malaysia in various countries including US and Japan, Dato’ Azman brings a vast range of competencies to MIDA. He has played an active role in the review of the Promotion Investment Act 1986, establishment of the Strategic Councils for the catalytic sub-sectors identified under the 11th Malaysia Plan, and the set-up of the Incentive Coordination and Collaboration Office in MIDA. Under his guidance, MIDA is ramping up efforts to support the Government in driving the Industry 4.0 agenda in Malaysia, which involves building a comprehensive overall ecosystem with a strong emphasis on having a domestic presence.
Mr. Julian Neo

Mr. Julian Neo
Julian Neo, is the Managing Director of DHL Express Malaysia & Brunei. Julian started his career with DHL Express Malaysia in April 2000 as a Global Account Manager managing a portfolio of key financial institutions and held various sales management roles thereafter. In August 2006, his portfolio expanded when he was appointed Director of Sales in Malaysia. He was then posted to Singapore in 2009 as Senior Director of Sales for DHL Express
Singapore. During his tenure, he played an instrumental role in piloting and implementing DHL’s Global Sales Process and Asia Pacific Sales Program, which significantly improved the country’s commercial practice through unified processes and procedures.
In 2013, Julian assumed the role of Vice President, Commercial for DHL Express Singapore, where he is responsible for the strategic leadership of all commercial activities of the business including sales, marketing and sales planning and development. Under his leadership, the commercial team delivers sustainable growth to the business by focusing on gaining revenue, market share and profit.
With over 18 years at DHL, his wealth of experience was paramount in driving robust growth in the business. Prior to his career with DHL Express, Mr. Neo held several commercial positions at Standard Chartered Bank in Malaysia.
Julian holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Marketing from The Northern University of Malaysia.
Mr. Christoph Muller

Mr. Christoph Muller
Christoph Mueller is a Member of the Management Board and Senior Vice President of Operations, Finance, Controlling Et Information Technology at B. Braun Asia Pacific; and the Head of the Global Centre of Excellence for Intravenous Access.
Based in the Regional Headquarters in Penang, Malaysia, he is responsible for the strategic and tactical leadership of the Group's Manufacturing Operations and Production Facilities in the Asia Pacific region. As the Head of the Global Centre of Excellence for Intravenous Access, Mr Mueller is responsible for Innovation and Portfolio Management of the entire global range of B. Braun's Intravenous Access solutions.
Mr Mueller is also responsible for the financial and I.T. strategies, implementation and policies in the Asia Pacific region, which encompasses the B. Braun entities in 16 countries.
Prior to this role, Mr. Mueller was the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer of B. Braun India. In Germany, he headed various global controlling portfolios overseeing sales, investment, production and RaD; and was the Vice President, Global Controlling, for B. Braun's Hospital Care and Outpatient Market Divisions.
Mr. Mueller graduated from the Georg-August University in Gottingen, Germany with a Diploma in Business Administration, specializing in Financial Controlling, Accounting and Management.
Dr. Ioana Kraft

Dr. Ioana Kraft
Ioana has served as General Manager of the Shanghai Chapter of the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China (European Chamber) since October 2009. She is responsible for implementation and development of European Chamber objectives, visibility, membership and lobbying activities in Shanghai and neighbouring regions.
A German-qualified lawyer, before joining the Chamber, Ioana practiced with a German law firm in Shanghai focussing on foreign direct investment.
Ioana holds a PhD degree in law from Heinrich Heine University, Düsseldorf, where she also worked as a Senior Research Assistant.
