Next Joint Carbon Market Working Group Meeting

Dear Working Group member,

With China set to launch its national emissions trading system (ETS) by the end of the year, most probably in the context of the 23rd Session of the Conference of the Parties (COP23) to the UN Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) in Bonn (from 6th to 17th November), and the State Council set to approve the ETS implementing plan, many questions still remain unanswered. Up to these days, China has been struggling to get data for all industrial sectors and to determine the allocation of allowances.

After the implementation of IATF 16949 in October 2016 China’s Auto Industry needs to update its quality management systems. Since China is holding more than 43% of all ISO/TS 16949 Certificates, it is the biggest market for Auto Quality Management System Certification and quality is the key for the success of the Chinese Automotive Industry. Therefore Automotive Roundtable will provide the platform to present and discuss the importance of quality management systems in China. The attending experts will moreover discuss potential improvements for Chinese quality management systems.
