The newly amended regulations of Shanghai Municipality on the protection of consumers' rights and interests came into effect from August 1st, 2022. This is the second time that Shanghai has revised the regulation after eight years, adding 24 new articles and amending 63 articles. This revision includes new provisions on the obligations of operators for various business activities, such as webcast, blind box sales and cross-border e-commerce, and on the handling of consumer personal information.

The European Chamber surprisingly discovered that females are leading the lean management in plenty of manufacturing enterprises, that's the reason why the event is focusing on a specific theme: lean management. A group of female, as well as male speakers are invited to share their competence, achievements, experience and gain. The speakers work with enterprises which are in the sectors of pharma, automotive, new energy and advanced equipment manufacturing, with employees of 200 to 5,000 people. For many foreign multinationals, investing in listed companies is the fastest and more direct route to inorganic growth in China. Listed companies have higher levels of governance and transparency, buyer/seller valuation gaps are lower and negotiation processes can be shorter than with private peers.
