On November 8th 2016, France adopted a new anti-corruption law “Sapin 2”. This new legislation gives French authorities an increased remit to prosecute French companies for corrupt practices overseas. On January 17, the China Food and Drug Administration (CFDA) and the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ) jointly issued a Circular on Pilot Measures Concerning the Record-filing of Non-special-purpose Cosmetic Imports in Shanghai’s Pudong New Area (see circular in Chinese). The pilot measures will be valid from March 1, 2017 to December 21, 2018.
