The European Chamber of Commerce is pleased to invite you to attend the second edition of People Matters series of this year. People Matters is a series of events organised by European Chamber in order to address Human Resources related topics for European companies operating in China.
Hiring employees is just the first step to create a strong and competitive work force. Next, and sometimes even more challenging, you have to keep them. High employee turnover costs multinational corporations in China a great loss in productivity. According to the European Chamber Business Confidence Survey talent in China is scarce, expensive, and hard to retain. Also a recent survey by an prestigious international consulting firm found that senior managers in global organizations in China switch companies at a rate of 30 to 40 percent a year—five times the global average.
To analyse these trends and provide some valuable insights into retaining and keeping local talent happy, the Chamber has invited speakers from Siemens, ThyssenKrupp and Hill + Knowlton Strategies to share with our attendees their best practices and challenges.
