The European Chamber Tianjin Chapter conducted a survey on the economic downturn at the end of 2012. One of the questions was “Is your company planning to lay off staff in China?” Among 40 top executives from member companies, 28% of them replied that “There will be significant layoffs or a small number of layoffs” this year.
