Organic Food in China
The chamber is delighted to enter the new area of Organic Food for our F&B WG. We are pleased to announce that Mr. Thomas Lin, General Manager of Ostore and Mr. Zhou ZeJiang, Senior Advisor, Organic Food Development Center of SEPA (OFDC) will attend the meeting to offer their insight into organic food in China.

As The Chief Operating Officer of Ostore Organic Food Market, Thomas Lin founded Ostore International Trading Co Ltd at the end of 2004. Prior to this, he had undertaken 2 years of market research and sourcing. In September 2005 Ostore Organic Food Market, located in Hongqiao Shanghai, opened its doors as the first retail organic specialty store in China.
Since joining the first organic food inspection in China fifteen years ago Mr. Zhou has accumulated vast experience in organic food testing and certification. He has tested over 300 farms, processors and traders in China, was one of the main drafters of the China National Standards on Organic Products and was a consultant to the CNCA for policies on the organic section (State Certification and Accreditation Administration of China). He is also a Senior Research Fellow (NIES, SEPA) and a member of the Development Forum of IFOAM (International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movement)
