Dear Working Group members,

We are pleased to invite you to a meeting of the Insurance Working Group on Thursday 19th November at 2pm, taking place in the offices of Sun Alliance Insurance (China).

At this meeting we would like to cover a number of recent developments in the Insurance industry in China and discuss a potential roundtable with CIRC Shanghai Bureau and the Shanghai Insurance Association.

Draft agenda:

    1.Overview of recent developments:
        ·CIRC initiatives on corporate governance - Insurance executives now subject to audit
        ·CIRC and Shanghai Insurance Association directive regarding the management of intermediaries
        ·Pilot scheme in Shanghai relating to enabling consumers to check details regarding motor insurance policies online

    2.We plan to invite representatives of CIRC Shanghai and the Shanghai Insurance Association to meet with our member insurance firms to discuss recent initiatives and also to ask them to brief us on any future initiatives. This is tentatively planned to happen in early December and we will give you more information at this meeting.
