As fulfilling part of the WTO entry commitments, China financial market is gradually opening up and has experienced unprecedented development during the past few years. China is an attractive place for foreign investment, meanwhile it is an unique regulated market that is not so easy to understand. Under such environment, what are allowed to do and how to select the appropriate financial products become crucial to foreign business decision makers. It is particularly important to stay on top during the current volatile market situation.
The presentation will talk about Interest Rate and USD/CNY hedging strategy, moreover, will introduce some popular financial products in China market.

Eric Ming is the Head of Financial Markets Sales for North China in Standard Chartered (China) Limited, leading the team to promote hedging (including FX, interest rate and commodity) and investment product business in the region. Eric has 13 years experience in the financial markets industry in China. During his career, Eric has experience of serving multinational companies, State owned companies and financial institutions in China in providing financial risk management solutions through using both vanilla products and structured derivatives tools such as forward, swaps and options. Eric started his career in Citigroup’s Treasury Marketing Department in 1996, and spent over 10 years in Citigroup before joining Standard Chartered in March 2007. Eric graduates from University of International Business & Economics majoring in international trade in 1996, and holds BA degree.
