Recently various new regulations were promulgated to reinforce the administrations for remittance to overseas. Many cases have been reported indicating that the Chinese tax authorities and relevant government authorities have increasingly deployed their resources in governing the tax compliance on overseas remittance procedures. This seminar is vital for almost all entities which need to transact with overseas companies and make payment to overseas companies. Stay updated on what tax authorities are enforcing and what practitioners are advising to meet this challenge to minimize and avoid unnecessary tax costs.

Mr. German Cheung (张文杰) - Tax Partner Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu (Guangzhou)
He has been working in professional PRC taxation consultation field for more than 15 years with Big-4 accounting firms. He has been relocated to the PRC since year 2000 and stationed in Shanghai and Guangzhou respectively. Mr. Cheung has extensive experiences in advising clients on structuring investments in China. He specializes in Transfer Pricing and Merger and Acquisition.
Mr. Cheung plays a key role in building relationships with the tax authorities and has conducted number of knowledge sharing sessions with tax authorities at different cities of Guangdong region. He has been instrumental in resolving a number of controversial tax cases and transfer pricing audit defense works with the tax authorities.
Ms. Rebecca Wong (王舜宜) - Senior Tax Manager Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu (Guangzhou)
Rebecca is specialized in corporate tax practice and is currently based in Guangzhou. She has spent over nine years with Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Hong Kong and Guangzhou offices. She has rich experience in providing cross-border tax and business advisory services to clients. Her expertise include set-up of tax effective structure for business in China; advising on corporate and individual income tax planning; assisting in dealing with tax disputes, double taxation issues and audit cases with the Chinese and Hong Kong tax authorities.
